From the outset, founder Gabriel Astruc envisioned the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, built in 1913, as a venue for a multitude of art forms: opera, of course, but also symphony concerts, music recitals, and ballet. Its pioneering spirit is reflected both in the Theater’s modern architecture and its programming.
