• Dinner for 6 Guests, including a welcome cocktail
  •  Guided “behind the scenes” tour

Established in 1766, Lapérouse was the meeting place of the literary, political, and artistic figures, as well as the romantic Tout-Paris. The second floor rooms were popular with figures like Georges Sand, Alfred de Musset, Émile Zola, Victor Hugo, and Gustave Flaubert. With regulars such as these, Lapérouse became the meeting place of writers and intellectuals, all of whom held the proprietor, Jules Lapérouse in high esteem and manifested their friendship by advising him on the decoration of the highly prized petits salons in the decadent 18th century style. When Auguste Escoffier, “cook of kings and king of cooks”, took the reins in the kitchen, Lapérouse came to symbolize the highest level of French gastronomy, a title which it still holds today.

The team at Lapérouse Paris offers a tour of the wine cellar with their sommelier, including a champagne welcome and savory cocktail bites.  Guests will then be invited to the most historic lounge, the Salon Victor Hugo, where France’s most famous writer used to enjoy afternoon tea with his grandson. For the occasion, Lapérouse will offer a sharing menu, allowing guests to discover a representative selection from the restaurant. The maître d'hôtel will also give a presentation about the House and reveal some of its most incredible anecdotes.
